TASHKENT -- More than 300 Uzbek troops demonstrated their own military inventions Saturday and Sunday (May 25-26) at their country's first Techno Discovery Festival, the Uzbekistan National News Agency reported Sunday.
The event took place at the Chirchik training ground in Tashkent Province.
The inventions by the service members included a robot capable of moving underwater, a remote-control device for operating an automatic rifle and a rifle night scope with a range of 1,000 metres.
Defence Minister Bakhodir Kurbanov and other top Defence Ministry officials toured the exhibition.
