NUR-SULTAN -- A top-ranking Kazakh lawmaker, Nurlan Nigmatulin, met with US congressmen Devin Nunes and Rick Crawford in Nur-Sultan, AKIpress reported Monday (August 12), citing parliament's press office.
Nigmatulin is chairman of the lower chamber of parliament.
The two sides discussed the development of Kazakh-US co-operation in various spheres, including international security and energy.
Nigmatulin emphasised the strategic partnership between the United States and Kazakhstan.
Nunes praised the achievements of Kazakhstan in many areas and highlighted the development of relations in regard to fighting terrorism.
