ISSYK-KUL, Kyrgyzstan -- The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Thursday (August 22) concluded a five-day regional workshop in Issyk-Kul on how to counter improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The 11th annual "Explosive Hazards Reduction and Response: Countering Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IEDs)" workshop brought together more than 30 international specialists from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The participants discussed recent developments in national, regional and global C-IED strategies and their experience in tackling threats originating from IEDs.
The OSCE offices in Bishkek and Dushanbe organised the programme in co-operation with the Kyrgyz military General Staff.
