LAHORE -- At least six terrorists were killed in Punjab Province recently, while two security officers were killed in a roadside bombing in Mohmand Agency.
The Punjab Province Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) recently killed six al-Qaeda members in an overnight operation in Layyah District, the CTD said, according to Dunya TV. Four of the six were foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Province CTD recently detained a suspected "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) member, Faisal Babar, in Gujranwala District, the CTD said, according to a June 1 Dunya TV report. The CTD said it seized terrorist supplies including pressure cooker bombs from him.
A roadside bomb May 31 in Mohmand Agency killed two Frontier Corps (FC) members, Dawn reported.
