PESHAWAR -- A June 16 roadside bombing in Peshawar killed a policeman, while Pakistani forces nationwide detained 17 suspected members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), media reported.
The bomb exploded near a police vehicle in Ghari Sobhat Bazaar, killing Assistant Sub-Inspector Qayum Dad and wounding three other officers, Dunya TV reported.
Meanwhile, security agencies carrying out raids in Karachi, Lahore, Nowshera and other locations arrested the ISIL suspects, Dunya TV reported separately.
They are accused of drawing up a "hit list" of TV anchorpersons and hosts.
