BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz State Border Service (GPS) Chairman Abdikarim Alimbayev June 15-17 toured Batken Province to review the condition of border mountain passes, the GPS said in a statement.
Alimbayev and members of the Batken Province Co-ordination Council inspected the borders with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan by air, the GPS said.
The officials studied the condition of mountain passes and of remote roads and paths in the border zone.
Alimbayev concluded his trip by meeting with provincial officials to discuss border security.
