BISHKEK -- Ninety-five graduates of the Bishkek-based Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic June 18 formally became members of the Kyrgyz officer corps in a Bishkek ceremony, the General Staff of the Armed Forces press office said in a statement.
All 95 graduates were commissioned as lieutenants. The leadership of the armed forces attended the event, as well as veterans, relatives of the graduates, and residents of Bishkek.
In a speech, one of the newly commissioned lieutenants, Amanbol Asanov, expressed gratitude to the armed forces' leadership and the military academy's faculty for training his graduating class.
