BISHKEK -- The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the Kyrgyz State National Security Committee (GKNB) July 19 signed an agreement to increase OSCE support for the Kyrgyz security sector, the OSCE said in a statement.
The pact expands and boosts OSCE-Kyrgyz co-operation in fighting terrorism and violent extremism.
The OSCE has worked to enhance Kyrgyz authorities' ability to prevent and respond to terrorism and extremism, GKNB deputy chairman Rustam Mamasadykov said, according to the statement.
