BISHKEK -- Authorities in Bishkek the night of August 23-24 detained a suspected terrorist leader, the State National Security Committee (GKNB) said in a recent statement.
The GKNB identified the suspect as O. I., a Kyrgyz national born in 1992. Authorities found extremist materials, a pistol, grenade, detonation cords and bullets in his possession, the GKNB said.
Authorities are looking for his suspected accomplices.
