JALAL-ABAD, Kyrgyzstan -- A Jalal-Abad Province court September 14 sentenced two local women to prison for trying to recruit a woman to join the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported, quoting the court.
Mokhirakon Akimjanova and Nargizakhon Raimjanova, who respectively received six- and seven-year sentences, tried to persuade a third woman online to join ISIL, the court found. Raimjanova's brother is fighting for ISIL in Syria, police said.
