BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz authorities September 19 seized munitions and four firearms in two raids, the Interior Ministry (MVD) said in a September 20 statement. The owners of the firearms lacked the necessary permits, the MVD said.
Police found one firearm in its owner's car in Tash-Kumir, Jalal-Abad Province, and three firearms belonging to three men in Batken Province, the MVD said.
Police are investigating the provenance of the weapons.
