BISHKEK -- Police in the Kyrgyz capital September 20 found several home-made bombs after someone phoned in a tip, the State National Security Committee (GKNB) press office said in a statement September 21.
GKNB and Interior Ministry (MVD) personnel hurried to the scene and found an unspecified number of bombs, the GKNB said, adding that its bomb squad disarmed the explosives with a water cannon.
Security personnel are trying to find the culprits.
