ASHGABAT -- A number of Turkmen border guards September 24 concluded a series of courses organised by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the OSCE said in a statement that day.
The training took place near Ashgabat June 6 to September 24. Four international trainers taught the guards about "reconnaissance and tracking patrols, border patrol routine and techniques, information collection and terrain analysis as well as motorised patrolling", the OSCE said.
Practical training included hostage rescue and desert survival.
