ASHGABAT -- An unspecified number of Turkmen Defence Ministry officials September 26-30 in Ashgabat learned about confidence-building measures (CBMs) and security-building measures (SBMs), the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said in a statement.
The OSCE conducted the seminar on the Vienna Document, which commits Turkmenistan and other signatories to implementing various CBMs and SBMs, and on other international commitments of Turkmenistan.
Belarusian Defence Ministry specialists shared their country's practices in implementing the Vienna Document. Topics for group discussions included "defence planning and the military budget, the organisation of visits to air bases or military facilities, and demonstrations of new types of major weapons and equipment systems", the OSCE said.
