OSH -- Fifty members of municipal youth committees, leaders of regional youth councils and Interior Ministry's minor affairs inspectors discussed ways of preventing violent extremism and radicalisation at a seminar in Osh October 17-22.

The six-day long seminar, organised with the support of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Centre in Bishkek and the Iyman Foundation for the Development of Spiritual Culture, was designed to increase public awareness about violent extremism and radicalisation by strengthening dialog and co-operation between state agencies and youth.

Seminar participants studied reasons of spreading radicalisation among youth, and learned about effective instruments to prevent radicalism.
