ASTANA -- The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (DUMK) will be holding an essay contest on the theme of "Islam and women", DUMK said in a statement Monday (March 27).
All Kazakhstani women and girls may participate by e-mailing their submissions by May 1 to [email protected]. Submissions are expected to discuss the role of women in Islam, enable the patriotic and moral education of youth and help prevent the spread of extremism.
Top prizes include a TV, a notebook computer and a cell phone.
