ASTANA -- The Spiritual Directorate for the Muslims of Kazakhstan and the Almaty Theater Öner Qirandari are organising performances in 15 cities across the country to promote values of true Islam and fight radical views, DUMK reported Tuesday (April 18).
"The 'Generous Holiday' project will be put into action on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan. The project is one way of combating destructive movements," a message from DUMK reads.
Theatrical performances will be shown through May 21. Actors from a theater, founded in 2005 by students of the Zhurgenev Acadamy of Arts, will perform before viewers.
