DUSHANBE -- A court in Dushanbe sentenced a husband and wife to 13 and 12 years in prison, respectively, for membership in the "Islamic State" (IS), Avesta.tj reported Monday (June 12), quoting the general prosecutor's office.
The defendants, A. Vazirov and M. Salimova, tried to enter Syria with their three children but were captured in Iran in January, which sent them back to Tajikistan.
