BRUSSELS -- Uzbekistani Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov Monday (July 17) in Brussels signed an agreement on partnership with the European Union (EU), the Uzbekistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Signing on behalf of the EU were Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser, whose country holds the rotating EU chairmanship, and EU trade official Petros Sourmelis.
The two sides' officials expressed shared interest in fighting terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and other forms of organised crime.
They affirmed their readiness for both bilateral and inter-regional partnership.
