Uzbekistan, Tajikistan co-operate to promote tourism

TASHKENT -- Uzbek officials and Tajik tour companies have signed a memorandum of co-operation, according to the State Committee "Uzbektourism," as reported by Ca-News.org Friday (October 13).

The signing took place within the framework of the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan business forum in Tashkent Thursday (October 12), said the committee.

The document was signed between the Centre for Promoting the National Tourism Product, which operates under Uzbekistan's State Committee for Tourism Development, and Tajik tour operators Orient-Adventur, Skay-Tur and Rokhat-Tur, according to Uzbektourism.

Under the agreement, the parties will launch joint projects to promote national tourist services, national tourism brands and a cross-border route along the Great Silk Road. The two sides will also exchange tourism information.
