BISHKEK -- Bishkek Monday (July 30) opened an art exhibition devoted to human trafficking, marking the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, AKIpress reported.
The outdoor exhibition, titled "In Search of a Better Life", describes the life of migrants abroad and their living conditions.
The art installations are part of "Together Against Human Trafficking", which is aimed at raising public awareness about the risks and consequences of human trafficking.
The effort is backed by the United Nations' (UN) International Organisation for Migration, US Agency for International Development, the Kyrgyz State Migration Service, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe Programme Office in Bishkek, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the UN's International Labour Organisation.
