Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan discuss relations, common visa


ASTANA -- Representatives from the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan met Friday (October 26) in Astana to discuss their countries' relations, AKIpress reported.

The two sides discussed the introduction of a common Silk Road visa to attract more tourists to Central Asia, among other issues, according to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

Kazakh lawmaker Dariga Nazarbayeva in June came up with the idea for a single visa for both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
