More than 300 Kyrgyz suspected or convicted of terrorism, extremism


BISHKEK -- More than 300 individuals are accused or convicted of terrorism and extremism in Kyrgyzstan, according to Nurdin Sulaimanov, the head of the National Centre for the Prevention of Torture, reported Tuesday (December 4).

Of those, 90 have been convicted and are serving prison terms in Penal Colony No. 27, he told journalists in Bishkek.
