DUSHANBE -- Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines launched its maiden non-stop flight from Astana to Dushanbe Friday (December 14), connecting the capitals of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Asia-Plus reported.
CRJ-200 aircraft will make the flight twice a week on Fridays and Sundays.
A one-way ticket costs 44,000 KZT ($118), while a round-trip costs 86,000 KZT ($232), Nikolai Buryakov, SCAT Airlines' vice president for commerce, said in Astana Thursday (December 13).
The non-stop flight is the result of work by the Kazakh-Tajik intergovernmental commission for trade and economic co-operation, according to Dushanbe International Airport's press office.
