BISHKEK -- Kyrgyzstan plans to renew relations with the United States and has already begun close co-operation with the European Union, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said at a news conference in Bishkek Wednesday (December 19).
The previous Kyrgyz government cancelled a co-operation pact with the United States (in 2015), he said.
"We are now co-operating and working in this direction. Our relationship will be renewed. Naturally, we will co-operate only in the interests of the republic," Jeenbekov said.
