ASTANA -- Kazakh Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov discussed co-operation with Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Kamilov in a phone conversation initiated by Uzbekistan, Kazinform reported Friday (January 4), citing the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's press office.
Topics ranged widely. The pair discussed preparations for a second working meeting of Central Asian heads of state. The heads of state held a consultative meeting in Astana last March.
Atamkulov also conversed with Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin by phone. They discussed the state of and prospects for Kazakh-Tajik relations.
