BAGHLAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan -- Afghan special forces Friday (May 3) in Baghlan Province killed a top Uzbek leader of the "Islamic State" (IS), Khaama Press reported Saturday (May 4), citing the Afghan Interior Ministry.
Mufti Uzbek, whose IS name indicates Uzbek origins, was killed in Dahana-e-Ghori, the ministry said.
Mufti Uzbek led IS activities in northern Afghanistan and was mainly involved in plotting terrorist attacks, the ministry said, adding that he also was responsible for equipping and financing IS in Central Asia.
Afghan troops killed at least three other militants in the same operation.
It's like an inflated bubble. But where are the facts, names? Everything is reported by Khaama Press. Where is your own news coverage?
