BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz and Tajik border troops August 3-4 held joint exercises in Batken and Leilek districts (both in Kyrgyzstan), the Kyrgyz State Border Service (GPS) said in an August 5 statement.
The troops learned how to resolve, without use of force, conflicts breaking out in the border zone, as well as how to co-operate if the situation on the border worsened.
The countries' border troops have been holding joint drills since 2015.
