VIENNA, Austria -- Ten Kyrgyz officials recently attended an August 15-19 training course on the "development of police under parliamentary democracy", the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said in a statement.
The officials came from parliament, the Interior Ministry (MVD) and civil society. They learned about "the processes of law enforcement reform and democratisation, as well as parliamentary oversight and control", the OSCE said.
