TASHKENT -- Authorities in Central Asia in 2015 broke up an extremist ring that conducted recruiting on international trains, Tengri News reported October 27.
Law enforcement agencies from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan co-operated to smash the ring's operations on international trains that transited Kazakhstan, a regional security official, Yevgeny Sysoyev, said in Tashkent. He did not say why the interdiction of the extremist recruiting went unreported until now.
