MOSUL, Iraq -- A Tajik member of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) was killed in combat November 9 near the Iraqi city of Mosul, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty's Tajik service reported November 13, quoting an unspecified militant website.
The website identified the dead militant only as Abu Abdullah Tochiki, an alias that only a Tajik national would take. However, it did not give his real name. Tochiki had a Twitter page, but it lacked personal information.
Two months ago, ISIL identified Tochiki as a participant in a terrorist bombing that claimed 12 lives in Tikrit, Iraq.
