ASHGABAT -- A recently published study by the Sydney-based Institute for Economics and Peace ranked Turkmenistan as one of the countries least at risk of terrorist attack, Turkmen media reported.
The Global Terrorism Index 2016 put Turkmenistan in a tie with several dozen other countries for 130th or last place, meaning that terrorism has no effect on their domestic political or economic situations. The same study ranked Tajikistan, in 56th place, as the Central Asian country most at risk of terrorism.
