BISHKEK -- On November 29 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev awarded State National Security Committee (GKNB) personnel certificates for their contribution in fighting terrorism, the president's press office said in a statement.
The personnel also received presidential wristwatches.
The GKNB officers received honours for "showing valour in unmasking terrorist cells and for their decisive actions ... under high-risk conditions", the statement said.
The GKNB's work in recent years has dramatically improved the public's perception of the agency, Atambayev said at the ceremony.
