ALMATY -- Kazakhstan's National Security Committee (KNB) and police departments arrested 15 people on charges of involvement in terrorism propaganda, preparing to participate in terrorism, inciting religious hatred, and illegally storing weapons, during series of operations January 13-24 in Almaty and surrounding districts in Almaty Province, ca-news reported Saturday (February 11) citing the KNB's press service.
It was confirmed that two radical groups were neutralised along with six extremist sympathizers.
Law enforcement officers seized five grenades, international terrorism paraphernalia, literature, and digital storage devices containing propaganda during the operations.
