ASTANA -- Kazakhstani officials Monday (February 27) hosted a conference regarding improving flight safety nationwide, zakon.kz reported, quoting the Defence Ministry press office.
Participants included the leadership of the country's Air Defence Force, Border Service, National Guard and various air bases, as well as of companies like Kazakhstan Engineering.
The theme of discussion was the "human factor" (the quality of personnel) and its influence on the aviation system.
The conference attendees decided to undertake a number of measures in 2017 and 2018 to reduce the accident rate in state-operated aviation and to increase the reliability of the country's aviation system.
