ASTANA -- Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev June 20 signed a decree affirming the planning document for the country's 2017-2020 religious policy, his press office said in a statement Wednesday (June 28).
The planning document sets three main priorities for the country's religious policy: improve laws and regulations governing the state's co-operation with religious associations, strengthen secular principles for developing the state, and develop a system for fighting extremism and destructive religious movements.
