ASTANA -- Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev's visit to the United States last month was fruitful, said US Ambassador to Kazakhstan George Krol, according to Kazinform.
Nazarbayev met with Trump at the White House Tuesday on January 16 as part of his three-day visit to the United States to discuss the strategic partnership between their countries, as well as the future of the US-Central Asian C5+1 dialogue.
The visit boosted the development of US-Kazakhstani ties, said Krol at an Astana news conference Friday (February 2).
Separately, on February 1 (Thursday), Khabar TV aired a documentary titled "Kazakhstan-USA: Story of Success". Nazarbayev's office produced the documentary.
The project's goal is to provide surplus hydro-electric power from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Afghanistan and Pakistan during the summer months.
