DUSHANBE -- Uzbekistan Airways is set to resume on October 29 twice-a-week flights from Tashkent to Dushanbe, Asia-Plus reported Monday (October 15).
Uzbekistan Airways began regular flights from Tashkent to Dushanbe in April 2017 -- the first between the two capitals since 1992.
In June 2017, the company reduced the frequency of the flights from twice a week to once a week due to lack of demand.
The Monday and Thursday flights will allow passengers to use convenient connecting flights via Tashkent to the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), said Orif Ruzimurodov, a Uzbekistan Airways representative in Dushanbe.
