BERLIN -- A Kyrgyz delegation journeyed to Berlin to participate in an Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) conference on preventing violence, extremism and radicalism that lead to terrorism, the Bishkek-based NGO Iyman Foundation said in a June 3 statement.
About 350 security specialists, clerics and other participants from 57 countries attended the May 31-June 1 conference.
Iyman Foundation Chairman Nurjigit Kadyrbekov, speaking at the conference, described the work of Kyrgyz government agencies and civil society in fighting extremism and terrorism, as well as training of imams.
