BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz authorities conducting Operation Kara-Kuurai in Issyk-Kul Province have seized more than 16kg of drugs, 24.kg reported August 12, quoting the province's police force. The dates of the operation were not reported.
During Kara-Kuurai, 102 Issyk-Kul Province police officers with 17 vehicles searched for drugs. They recorded four cases of illegal drug cultivation and of operation of drug dens.
Besides seizing the aforementioned narcotics, police destroyed almost 45.8 tonnes of hemp growing on 46ha of land.
