TASHKENT -- UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al-Hussein arrived in Tashkent Wednesday (May 10) for talks with Uzbekistani officials, Podrobno.uz reported. His visit is scheduled for Wednesday through Friday (May 12).
Al-Hussein intends to discuss the state of co-operation between his office and Uzbekistan. In his first remarks in Uzbekistan, he noted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's signing of bills meant to strengthen the rule of law.
