AKTOBE, Kazakhstan -- Aktobe Province will be operating summer camps this year to teach "correct Islam" to children, Ratel.kz reported Monday (May 22).
The province's 66 mosques will operate the camps. Provincial Akim (governor) Berdybek Saparbayev May 19 suggested "stepping up [counter-terrorism] work with children and youth", Ratel.kz reported.
Attendance at the camps is voluntary.
