Tajik, Afghan customs officers learn about electronic exchange of information

DUSHANBE -- Tajik and Afghan customs officers came to Dushanbe for a recent week-long workshop on the electronic exchange of customs information, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said in a statement September 28.

Nine Afghans and 16 Tajiks took part. The officials learned about "the importance of reinforcing border management capacity and co-ordination between the neighbouring countries as the foundation for effective information exchange", the OSCE said.
