ASTANA -- The Kazakhstani government November 9 accepted a resolution rewarding Kazakhstanis who warn the government in advance of impending terrorist acts, Zakon.kz reported November 17.
The new policy authorises rewards of about 1.6m KZT to 2.1m KZT (US $4,688 to $6,153) for such informants.
The policy is scheduled to take effect January 1.
