DUSHANBE -- Tajikistan's Ministry of Education and Science had the most cases of corruption in 2017 out of all Tajik government agencies, according to the country's Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, AsiaPlus.tj reported.

Employees of the Education Ministry committed 70 corruption-related crimes last year, Abdukarim Zarifzoda, first deputy director of the anti-corruption agency, told journalists in Dushanbe Thursday (February 15).

Their crimes included forging documents, issuing bogus degrees and falsifying construction reports, he said.

The Health Ministry saw 60 such cases. That number was followed by 57 cases in the Interior Ministry and 26 in the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
