Karachi, Punjab violence kills 4 Pakistanis

KARACHI -- Two Hindus and a member of the Ahmadi religious community were among four Pakistanis killed recently in Karachi and in Attock District, Punjab Province.

Motorcyclists June 5 in Karachi opened fire on a wine shop, killing the manager, a salesman and a guard, senior police official Rao Anwar said, according to Dawn.

The slayings might be linked to non-payment of extortion, Anwar added. The manager and salesman were Hindus, Geo News reported.

In a June 4 attack in Attock, Punjab, assassins killed pharmacy owner Abdul Hameed Khan, an Ahmadi, District Police Officer (DPO) Zahid Nawaz Marwat told Dawn.
