TASHKENT -- US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs Brian McFeeters discussed bilateral relations with Uzbek foreign ministry officials in Tashkent Wednesday (September 12), the Uzbekistan National News Agency reported.
The sides discussed strengthening economic and investment co-operation between the two countries and implementing agreements reached during the official visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States on May 15-17.
Trade between the two countries reached almost $300 million (2.3 trillion UZS) over the first eight months of this year, compared to $210.2 million (1.6 trillion UZS) during all of 2017, according to official data.
