ASHGABAT -- Turkmen authorities in early May delivered the bodies of 27 troops who were killed along the Turkmen-Afghan border to the provincial capitals of Turkmenabat and Mary, Alternative News of Turkmenistan reported June 8, quoting its own sources in those provinces.
Authorities did not disclose the locations, causes, or times of the troops' deaths. However, it is known they all served in Mary Province, along the Afghan border.
