Kazakhstan to inspect passengers and baggage at train stations

ASTANA -- Starting February 1, authorities will inspect passengers and baggage at Kazakhstani train stations, Tengri News reported Tuesday (January 17), citing Kazakhstan Railways' press office.

The searches eventually will take place at 16 major stations, the railway said, adding that it will take a few months to implement the measures at all 16 stations. They are meant to protect passengers.
