ATYRAU, Kazakhstan -- An Atyrau city court has begun hearing the case of six suspected members of Tabligi Jamaat, the Atyrau Provincial Court press office said in a Tuesday (June 6) statement.
The defendants, who come from three different provinces, tried to organise a Tablighi Jamaat cell in Atyrau city, according to the statement.
An Astana court prohibited Tablighi Jamaat nationwide as a destructive movement in February 2013.
